Job Description – Support (Mech Factory)
Role Details
- Role: Support – Mech Factory
- Department: Mechanical Factory
- Reporting To: Head – Operations
- Location: Udaipur
- Team Size: ~50 subordinates
Role Objective
To oversee and manage Sheetmetal Plant Operations and process handling, ensuring production efficiency, compliance with quality systems, and continuous improvement in operational performance.
Role-Based Responsibilities
- Production planning and monitoring as per production requirements.
- Co-ordination with Stores, Quality, Purchase, and Engineering for execution of production and projects.
- BOM (Bill of Materials) definition and necessary engineering corrections.
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day factory operations and process compliance.
Individual-Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain proper housekeeping and discipline across the plant.
- Provide process training to new operators for effective skill development.
- Ensure safety standards and adherence to company policies at the workplace.
Key Interactions
Internal:
- Stores, Quality, Production, Engineering, Purchase → For smooth execution of plant-related activities and production support.
External:
- Coordination with vendors, contractors, and auditors (as required).
Qualification & Experience
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience: 6–8 years in plant operations handling sheet metal processes.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Sheetmetal Processes.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel & computer applications.
- Working knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45000).
- Familiarity with engineering systems and BOM management.
- Knowledge of consumables and production resource planning.
