Role Title
Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager – Production (PCBA)
Reporting to: Head – Operations
Team Size Supervised: 20
Role Objective
Lead PCB-Assembly Operations and Process Handling, ensuring smooth execution of production, workflow efficiency, and quality standards across the PCB Assembly Line.
Key Responsibilities
Role-Based Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor PCB Assembly production as per requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments (Stores, Quality, Production, Design, Engineering, Purchase).
- Define BOM, execute engineering corrections, and ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and improve efficiency, output, and quality of manufacturing processes.
- Prepare workflow procedures and submit daily MIS reports.
- Oversee maintenance of plant and machinery.
Individual-Specific Responsibilities
- Monitor employee performance and maintain smooth material/workflow.
- Ensure products meet company quality standards.
- Evaluate and modify workflows for higher throughput and productivity.
- Lead, train, motivate, and develop team members for maximum performance.
- Develop and maintain work schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
Key Interactions
Internal: Stores, Quality, Production, Engineering, Design, Purchase teams – for PCBA assembly-related activities.
External: Machine suppliers – for machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Qualification & Experience
🎓 Education: BE / Diploma in Electronics or Electrical
📅 Experience: 2 – 6 years in PCB-Assembly line (manufacturing/production environment).
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Hands-on with SMT automatic assembly equipment (Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, AOI, X-Ray, Reflow Oven, Wave Soldering).
- Knowledge of Soldering technologies (SMT & PTH, manual & automatic).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in SMT operations.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards (ISO, IPC, J-STD, ESD).
- ERP system knowledge, advanced Excel, and computer proficiency.
- Expertise in BOM definition, consumables, and engineering systems.
Behavioral Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team player with leadership qualities.
- Ability to lead under pressure and ensure delivery.
