Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager – Production (PCBA) to lead and manage our PCB Assembly Line operations. The role requires hands-on experience in planning, process handling, BOM management, and team leadership, ensuring seamless production flow, quality adherence, and efficiency.

Reporting To: Head – Operations
Team Supervision: Approx. 20 team members

Key Responsibilities

Role-Based Responsibilities

1. Plan and monitor PCB Assembly operations as per production requirements.
2. Coordinate with various departments (Quality, Engineering, Stores, Purchase, Production) for smooth execution of projects.
3. Define BOM and manage engineering corrections.
4. Monitor and improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality in the manufacturing process.
5. Prepare workflow procedures, daily MIS, and ensure smooth operations.
6. Ensure proper maintenance of plant and machinery for uninterrupted production.

Individual-Specific Responsibilities

• Monitor employee performance and ensure workflow continuity.
• Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing workflows for higher productivity.
• Lead, train, develop, and motivate the team for enhanced performance.
• Develop and maintain schedules to support 100% on-time delivery.

Key Interactions

• Internal: Stores, Quality, Production, Engineering, Design, Purchase – for PCBA Assembly-related activities.
• External: Machine suppliers – for equipment and maintenance activities.

Qualification & Experience

• Education: BE/Diploma in Electronics / Electrical.
• Experience: 2–6 years of experience in PCB Assembly line operations.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

1. Hands-on ability to program, operate, and maintain SMT automatic assembly equipment (Screen Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, AOI, X-Ray, Reflow Oven, Wave Soldering, etc.).
2. Strong knowledge of soldering technologies (SMT & PTH), manual and automatic.
3. Ability to troubleshoot quality issues during SMT operations.
4. Complete knowledge of ISO, IPC, ESD, and industry-specific quality standards.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
6. Knowledge of BOM definition, consumables, and engineering systems.
7. Working knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45000 Quality Systems.
