Key Purpose
The Service Advisor is the primary interface between the customer and the dealership workshop. The role requires understanding customer concerns, accurately capturing the vehicle issues in the repair order, and ensuring seamless coordination with the workshop team to deliver perfect diagnosis, quality repairs, and excellent customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers visiting the workshop
- Open repair orders and refer to vehicle service history
- Provide cost estimates, time estimates, and check for ongoing service campaigns
- Keep customers informed about job progress and schedule changes
- Coordinate with workshop floor, technicians, and quality controllers
- Explain invoices, replaced parts, and work done to customers
- Assist customers in completing payment formalities
- Conduct clean car verification before delivery
- Assist in vehicle pickup during customer delivery visits
- Ensure 100% Next Day Call (NDC) for customer follow-up
- Manage CCCF closure and customer face-to-face (F2F) interactions
- Maintain customer satisfaction and promote dealership professionalism
Skills & Competencies Required
- Passion for automobiles
- Customer-centric approach
- Strong listening ability and probing skills
- Ability to capture customer’s verbatim accurately on job cards
- Good communication skills – English & local language
- Knowledge of automobile systems & components
- Computer literacy (MS Office, basic software usage)
- Proactive, data-friendly, and organized
- Ability to drive a 4-wheeler (preferred)
Educational Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma in Engineering / ITI
- Any Graduate interested in customer service
- Class XI / XII with professional automobile training
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of customer-facing experience (automobile industry preferred)
- Experience in Shop Floor Quality Control or CRM will be an added advantage
Compensation
₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month
